Truyện Kiều

Intro
I studied Chu Nom literature and poetry from the Tang dynasty to the Nguyen dynasty. I was really enamored by this poem's message, so I wanted to illustrate it and share it in English. The poem was written by Nguyen Du in the 19th century and takes place during the Ming Dynasty, and the plot was taken from an obscure Chinese novel called Jin Yun Qiao written by Qingxin Cairen (Pure Heart Talented Man).

Truyện Kiều is built using Processing, a Java-based graphics library and integrated development environment built for electronic arts, new media art, and visual design. Illustrations were done on Adobe Illustrator and imported as SVGs, or created on Processing.
